I briefly went to 12s on my electric - but stuck with 11s for the first ten years of my electric experience.

If you don't bend much it's not a big deal.   But, in some cases 11s may not be the way to go - I tried learning an Eddie Van Halen Lead once - that's when I realized he's a monster when it comes to bending.  I recall a 2.5 whole step bend at one section.    So, in that scenario - you'd probably break strings with 11s.   I never liked bending much anyway.

Nuttiness aside - The higher gauge aren't as floppy and sound better to me.   My acoustics are 12s - on the high E.

Edit: I have 12s on my acoustic - not 11s

Bots will eventually learn the security questions and break through.   Advanced version of Captcha seem popular - but at some point all the security will prevent actual humans from getting in.   Bots and robocallers are the reason no one can reach me on the phone these days. D=

Power factor should be brought into the equation.   However, regulatory confusion may be in the mix.  Good question though.  I'd like to know more.

These look cool.   They're definitely not common.

So, I noticed your OR-AD15-12 amplifier's serial number is 001.  What's the backstory?

Not sure - but I'll check when I have time.   I suspect running this forum could turn into quite the learning experience for me.   I've already experienced over 2700 bots registering with this forum before a real human actually joined.

I got this Orange Crush 35RT for $90-ish dollars off of eBay a while back. It worked for a while, but then developed a really bad buzzing sound rendering the amplifier unusable. I decided to fix the amp myself and while doing so shot video to share how I repaired the amp. Enjoy!

Hate to ruin a potential party - but, at some point the hosting space I pay for will fill up - once too many photos are posted.     So, not so sure how sustainable it is for me to host every users' photos.  For now I'll leave this on.
